Project Overview:
The construction of the Belqees Educational Complex aligns with Tawakkol Karman Foundation's commitment to enhancing inclusive education, achieving sustainable development, and providing educational opportunities for all, including the most underserved groups. This project addresses the increasing needs of the local community and aims to build an educated generation capable of shaping the future. This initiative reflects the Foundation's vision of delivering a modern educational model that aligns with best practices, focusing on achieving positive and sustainable impact.
Project Objectives:
1. Provide a safe and suitable educational environment to prevent student dropouts,
especially in an area lacking general education schools.
2. Support individuals with special needs by establishing the first school for the Deaf in Taiz
Governorate, offering a safe and specialized educational environment with modern
facilities and technology-enhanced learning.
3. Promote girls' education by granting them access to schools in the absence of
governmental options and due to transportation costs.
4. Support local recovery efforts in the education sector post-war by offering sustainable
solutions for affected students.
5. Create an integrated educational infrastructure, including classrooms and modern
scientific laboratories, providing students with a comprehensive learning experience.

Duration of the Project:
Work began in November 2023 and was completed by late September 2024. The grand opening was held on October 6, 2024, with active participation from official entities and the benefiting community.
Direct Beneficiaries:
Over 3,000 students benefit directly from the project annually, with potential for growth.
